Walking with God for more than 20 years and spending almost 10 years serving in Uganda, Africa, I learned some very valuable things about life, about ministry. Ministry will only be fruitful when we seek the heart of the Father. Ministry is accomplished by doing life WITH the people we are reaching.

Jesus lived among the people. He embodied His teachings. He modeled the scriptures and precepts He taught. He was involved in the lives of the people of whom He was discipling. “Jesus loved His disciples during His ministry on earth, and now He loved them to the very end.” John 13:1

God is sending us out into the villages of Uganda to live among the people and love them affecting them with the Good News of Jesus.

The Orchard of First Love

WE WILL PLANT ORCHARDS FOR THE LORD! An orchard is a piece of land where fruit trees are grown. Don’t worry, we are not going into the agricultural business, but rather orchards of souls or spiritual trees. The orchard will be a place where seeds of the Gospel are sown and given space to take root. Our purpose is to nurture those seeds of faith into maturity, becoming mature, strong trees of righteousness planted by the river of God producing good fruit. As the trees mature, blossom, and produce fruit, many will be drawn near to taste and see that the LORD is good. (Psalm 34:8)

An orchard is devoted to this process and the development of trees. This is the heart behind the vision. We are passionate about helping others cultivate their own intimate relationship with Jesus and growing to maturity in their faith. The best way to encourage this in others is to demonstrate it. We grow together by doing life alongside one another, by seeking the LORD and walking together in obedience to Him. In this, we fulfill the great commission of making disciples.
